Week 4, 1st Half Spring Term @ Lavender, Beddington
27th – 31st January 2025
Next week we will be exploring our new mud kitchen, using soil, leaves, twigs. We look forward to lots of imaginative play and language!
We will also be talking about Lunar New Year, The Year of the Snake.
Please don’t forget to check the snack item you have signed up for; this helps to keep our fees down if everyone brings their snack/messy play item in weekly.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
That’s not my… Zebra’s colours by Fiona Watt & Rachel Wells
Oh Dear! by Rod Campbell
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
Where’s Willy’s Welly? by Rob Jones
The True Story of Humpty Dumpty by Sarah Hayes & Charlotte Voake
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “c” and “k”.
The short songs can be found on the internet.

Taken from the Government website;
Hungry Little Minds - provides simple fun, activities for parents of kids aged 0 to 5 to do at home to support their early learning.
BBC Tiny Happy People - activities for babies, toddlers and children.
Please remember to put plain water only in your child’s water bottle in case of allergies. Some of the children have realised that there is flavoured water in certain bottles and are helping themselves to those, so we are emptying several every day and refilling with water.
If it is easier, you can bring an empty bottle each day and we will fill it when you arrive.
