This first half term has flown by as we have welcomed back all the returning children and settled our new children successfully.
We would like to hear about anything the children have done during half term or any news they would like to share. The children feel very proud sharing their special experiences with the group and we’d love to hear about any experiences you may have shared over the holiday.
If you have any old Christmas cards, wrapping paper or decorations you no longer want, we will be very happy to take them off your hands! Thank you in advance.
Monday 31st October will be our first day back at pre-school after half term. As it will be Halloween, we will explore it through spooky stories and songs, using our senses to explore pumpkins texture inside & outside, using pumpkins for hammering golf tees in to strengthen fine motor skills, and eye-hand co-ordination. We will be talking about children’s experience of fireworks at Diwali and Bonfire Night.
Please remember that we are always outside , so please make sure your child has a suitable named coat. It will get dirty as we will be playing with and experiencing chalk, paint, soil and other messy play; that is what we’re here for! Please also make sure your child is wearing (named) layers to keep them warm while inside as we will be keeping the windows and garden door open for ventilation.
Progress updates; We will be holding our termly progress meetings on Wednesday 30th November from. You will meet individually with your child’s keyperson for this termly progress update. Please see the sign-up sheet in the lobby on our return after half term. Thank you!
Remember to name all your children’s belongings, uniform, spare clothes, coats, water bottles and lunch bags.
