Remember Friday is the last day of preschool before the half term break.(see Dates for your Diary)
All the children are settling well and starting to bond as a group, you may notice some children may be happy at preschool for a while after joining us and then start to become anxious and upset, this doesn’t mean that anything particular has happened to upset them, it is just part of the process of settling in. They may start to feel overwhelmed with all the change to their routines, maybe feel they have been to preschool now and feel slightly anxious separating from you or are struggling getting used to expectations and boundaries such as turn taking with other children or following the routine such as coming in from the garden for singing /carpet time.
Accidents
It may seem as if your child has an accident recorded in the accident book every day. It is our duty of care to record and report all accidents to you then get you to sign the report to confirm you have been informed even when it is a very minor incident. If we feel the accident is more concerning, we will also contact you immediately and liaise with you.
We then need to keep all accident reports until the child turns 21 years of age.
There are occasions where children may have a scratch or a mark but have not cried or have been able to self-regulate their emotions and have not told an adult or another child and this has not been recorded in the accident book.
If we have seen it, we record it. Please report any scratches grazes or bruises to us on arrival.
Scooters And Bikes Must Not Be Ridden into The Building for Health & Safety Reasons.
Please Leave Them Safely Outside of The Preschool Lobby While Collecting Your Child
Thank you for your cooperation.
