Week 7, 2nd Half Summer Term @ Lavender, Beddington
14th – 16th July 2025
This will be our last few days before the end of term!
We will be enjoying our last few days together as a group before we break up for the summer holiday on Wednesday, when we will be having a summer fun day from 9 -11.30am with lots of water and ice cream! (Please see my email dated Tues 24th June). After the returning children have been waved off for the summer, we will invite families in to sing our goodbye song with us to those that are moving on to new settings, and collecting their learning journey. This will take 20-30 mins.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
Strawberries are red by Petr Horacek
Baa Baa, Black Sheep by Annie Kubler
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
I’m Coming To Get You! by Tony Ross
Little Rabbitt Foo Foo by Michael Rosen
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “z” and “w”.
The short songs can be found on the internet.

Words for Life
As the weather is getting warmer, please remember to bring a named sun-hat and to put sun cream on your child before they come in.
All children that stay for lunch will need to bring a named bottle of sun-cream for us to reapply after lunch – we do not have a spare one!
