Week 4, 2nd Half Spring Term @ Lavender, Beddington
17th – 21st Mar. 2025
We have spaces available for children to start after Easter, please ask for a waiting list form if you or a friend would like to apply for a space.
Next week we will be continuing to follow the children’s interests, reading books, singing songs and talking about how we look after ourselves.
On Monday, we will be exploring St Patrick’s Day, using some shamrock shapes and the colour green.
We will be watching out for signs of spring as we play in the garden, listening to the birds and seeing our flowers start to come up.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
Strawberries are Red by Petr Horacek
Baa Baa, Black Sheep by Annie Kubler
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
Cat’s Colours by Jane Cabrera
Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy by Lynley Dodd
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “l” and “f”.
The short songs can be found on the internet.

Words for Life
Please remember to put plain water only in your child’s water bottle in case of allergies. Some of the children have realised that there is flavoured water in certain bottles and are helping themselves to those, so we are emptying several every day and refilling with water.
