Week 3, 2nd Half Spring Term @ Lavender, Beddington
10th – 14th March 2025
We enjoyed World Book Day this week, making bookmarks and choosing a book to take home. We had all of our dressing up clothes out for the children to enjoy, and made up songs about characters in our books. There was lots of conversation and interest in books, which is what it is all about!
Next week we will be continuing to follow the children’s interests, reading books, singing songs and talking about how we look after ourselves.
We have spaces available for children to start after Easter, please ask for a waiting list form if you or a friend would like to apply for a space.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
5 Little Ducks by Wendy Straw
Tickle, Tickle by Helen Oxenbury
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
A Fox Got My Socks by Hilda Offen
Mrs Mopple’s Washing Line by Anita Hewett
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “o” and “u”.
The short songs can be found on the internet.

Words for Life
Please remember to put plain water only in your child’s water bottle in case of allergies. Some of the children have realised that there is flavoured water in certain bottles and are helping themselves to those, so we are emptying several every day and refilling with water.
If it is easier, you can bring an empty bottle each day and we will
fill it when you arrive.
