Week 6, 1st Half Spring Term @ Lavender, Beddington 10th – 14th February 2025
There are lots of different bugs and infections about at the moment; conjunctivitis, coughs and temperatures, tonsillitis to name a few! Please remember that if your child needs Calpol before preschool, they should stay home to get better.
We will be talking about Valentine’s Day, how we can show people that are special to us that we love them.
We break up for half term on Friday 14th February for one week, returning on Monday 24th February.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
The Gruffalo Touch and Feel Book by Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler
Tap! Tap! by Child’s Play, A Bookstart Book.
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
Over in the Meadow by Louise Voce
Caveman Dave by Nick Sharratt
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “r” and “m”.
The short songs can be found on the internet.

Words for Life
Please remember to put plain water only in your child’s water bottle in case of allergies. Some of the children have realised that there is flavoured water in certain bottles and are helping themselves to those, so we are emptying several every day and refilling with water.
If it is easier, you can bring an empty bottle each day and we will fill it when you arrive.
