Week 8, 1st Half Autumn Term @ Lavender, Beddington
21st – 25th October 2024
We are aiming to be outside as much as possible while the weather is still mild. Please make sure your child has a suitable outdoor coat and shoes.
We will be exploring some Halloween activities, songs, stories and crafts as the 31st October fast approaches!
We would love to see any Halloween dress up on Wednesday and/or Friday next week.
We will break up on Friday 25th October for 1 weeks half term, returning on 4th November as usual.
Please remember to bring your snack donation in at the beginning of your preschool week as we have had very little to give the children this week in terms of fruit, crackers/breadsticks and margarine.
Alternatively, you could sign up to pay into the snack fund if this is easier.
The list is available on the board if you have forgotten your snack item. Thankyou!
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
That’s not my witch… by Fiona Watt & Rachel Wells
Pumpkin, Pumpkin… a rhyme taken from the internet
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
The Foggy, Foggy Forest by Nick Sharratt
Ten Spooky Skeletons by Garry Parsons
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “d” and “g”.
The short songs can be found on the internet.
