Week 5 of 1st Half Summer Term @ Beddington
13th – 17th May 2024
Don’t forget to put suncream on your child before preschool starts and bring a named hat and water bottle!
It’s been such a warm week, we have really enjoyed being in the garden again, using lots of water play to keep cool, sand and the mud area. We have been watching the seeds that we planted last week grow and will be planting some sunflower seeds next week to take home and observe.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead are…
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
Itsy Bitsy Spider by Wendy Straw.
I Love Animals by Flora McDonnell.
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
Zed’s Bread by Mick Manning & Brita Granstrom.
Peace at Last by Jill Murphy.
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “e” and “h”,
the short songs can be found on the internet.
Whatever the hair, they don’t care! Could we remind everyone to check their child’s hair regularly looking for headlice or nits. More info can be found here…

Please do not put any fruit rolls/sweets or chocolate items in your child’s lunch box. As well as possible allergies, as an early years setting, we must promote a healthy diet and oral health as laid out in the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, and act on the advice from Ofsted... Thankyou!
