Week 3 of 2nd Half Spring Term @ Beddington
4th – 8th March 2024
Don’t forget to sign up for our parent progress meetings if you have not already done so!
It is World Book Day next week, so we will be reading lots of stories alongside our weekly stories. As costumes are expensive and cause parents unnecessary stress, we are not asking the children to dress up as a favourite character from a book. There will be chances to use our dressing up throughout the week and play with role play, props and messy play.
Our 2-a-day stories for the week ahead …
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
That’s not my mermaid… by Fiona Watt & Rachel Wells
Itsy Bitsy Spider by Wendy Straw
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Tony Mitton & Liz Million
Charlie McGrew & the Horse That He Drew by Rob Biddulph.
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are “o” and “u”,
the short songs can be found on the internet.
Below are links to some online resources to help with some home learning and action songs.

Please remember that the door will be open at the beginning of the day at 8.30am or 9.00am. If you miss your 8.30am start time, please wait until the door is reopened at 9.00am. We have several new children who are finding it hard to settle when the doorbell rings several times between these times and after 9am.
The 2 families that start at 9.15am by regular pre-arrangement, please wait until the door is opened at 9.15am by a member of staff so that there is a minimum of disruption for our new children. Thankyou!
