We reopen on Mon 19th Feb.

The children are starting to bond with the new children joining us showing lots of kindness and empathy to those children settling in.

The new children are becoming familiar with our routines, starting to try to put on and remove their coats and change their shoes & wellies. Remember they must recognise their own items in amongst all the other coats, shoes, and boots. We promote independence and self-help skills in everything we do at pre-school.

Over the last few days at the end of last week the children had fun exploring Lunar New Year, (the Year of the Dragon), tasting noodles at snack time, decorating the preschool with Chinese lanterns and a Lunar New year celebration banner. We looked at pictures of a Chinese dragon and made one of our own to decorate our playroom which the children are very proud of. We used rice in our messy play with pots and scoops to measure capacity and weight.

We have talked about St Valentine’s Day, about the people we care about and started to make some heart crafts and displayed a heart banner as a talking point, and we will have pancakes at snack time when we return and encourage the children to discuss their experiences of Pancake day at home.

Please make sure you are bringing in the items you signed up to on the snack and consumables list, and a big thank you to those who regularly donate items each week.

March 7th is World Book Day we will send out more information nearer the time. This year we ask children to come dressed as a book character or in their cosy pyjamas ready for a bedtime story. Please don’t worry if your child is reluctant to dress up , we just want them to enjoy the day, maybe they will feel more confident to dress up  another year.

A reminder to everyone that no food containing Nuts or Sesame must be brought onto the premises, in lunch boxes or for snacks. No food items or sweets are to be brought in by older siblings at drop off and pick up times. Thank you.

Please name all items belonging to your child, coats, bags, shoes, lunch bags, water bottles and uniform.

Scooters And Bikes Must Not Be Ridden into The Building for Health & Safety Reasons.

Please Leave Them Safely Outside of The Preschool Lobby While Collecting Your Child

Thank you for your co-operation.
