We have sent out a few reminders with regards to bringing food containing nuts and sesame or may contain nuts or sesame on to the premises, please make sure there are none of these items brought onto the premises in children’s pockets, by you to give your child as a snack at drop off or pick up times, or by older siblings at pick up time.
Please make sure children are not left unattended in the reception area, families should be outside in the queue until we open, please do not wait in the reception area this is for families waiting to use the Children Centre services.
Thank you to those who have returned our spare clothes already, please check if you still have any
. Please make sure your child has spare clothes in their bag, all children need spare clothes to replace clothes that get wet and messy from independent active play.
Have a look at our photo boards in the lobby where we have displayed photos of our Festive Fun at the end of last term. The red board is all about the SEVEN AREAS OF LEARNING IN THE EYFS which is what we work towards with all the children. Read the information and see how you can help your child’s development at home, we have added photos of the children engaged in activities developing their skills in these areas at preschool, see how hard they work…. and understand why it is so important to develop these skills early.
The yellow board is all about MUD and what opportunities it offers to your child, look at the photos and see the engagement, awe, and wonder and happiness in the children’s faces. They are fully investigating, exploring, and showing curiosity, all skills needed for Learning.
Please remember that we are always outside , so please make sure your child has a suitable named coat. It will get dirty as we will be playing with and experiencing chalk, paint, soil and other messy play; that is what we’re here for! Please also make sure your child is wearing (named) layers to keep them warm while inside as we will be keeping the windows and garden door open for ventilation.
Remember to name all your children’s belongings, uniform, spare clothes, coats, water bottles and lunch bags.
