All our new children have started with us and are settling in well, we are bonding as a group and continuing with fun learning opportunities.
Hopefully everyone has received the email from us with regards to a child now attending our preschool with a Nut & Sesame allergy. We are now a Nut & Sesame free preschool please make sure any lunches, snack contributions or any foods brought onto the premises do not contain Nuts or Sesame. There has also been a letter put in all children’s trays. Please check your junk/spam mail and if you have not received the email send Helen an email, and she will attach a copy of the information back to you. Thank you for your co operation in keeping the children safe. If you have any queries or concerns, please see Helen, Michele or Karen.
We have received information from our local authority reminding us that winter illness continues to circulate at a high level. Please make sure that if your child is unwell or has a fever that they stay at home from preschool until they feel better and the fever is resolved.
Have a look at our photo boards in the lobby, there is lots of information on them. The red board is all about the SEVEN AREAS OF LEARNING IN THE EYFS which is what we work towards with all the children. Read the information and see how you can help your child’s development at home, we have added photos of the children engaged in activities developing their skills in these areas at preschool, see how hard they work…. and understand why it is so important to develop these skills early.
The yellow board is all about MUD and what opportunities it offers to your child, look at the photos and see the engagement, awe, and wonder and happiness in the children’s faces. They are fully investigating, exploring, and showing curiosity, all skills needed for Learning.
Please remember that we are always outside, so please make sure your child has a suitable named coat. It will get dirty as we will be playing with and experiencing chalk, paint, soil and other messy play; that is what we’re here for! Please also make sure your child is wearing (named) layers to keep them warm while inside as we will be keeping the windows and garden door open for ventilation.
Remember to name all your children’s belongings, uniform, spare clothes, coats, water bottles and lunch bags.
