Week 7 of 1st Half Autumn Term @ Beddington
17th – 21st October 2022
We will be breaking up for half term on Friday 21st October. We will return in Monday 31st October. We hope you all have a nice half term!
Don’t forget that if your child has an unexplained temperature (e.g; something that has not been confirmed by GP or pharmacist), they will need to stay off for 48 hours.
Thank you to everyone that collected conkers, acorns, leaves and sticks on our behalf last week! The children had a great time feeling, counting, talking about, learning and exploring all the different objects.
Please remember to phone or text in if your child is not going to be at preschool, particularly if they are ill, so that we can inform other families if there is an illness or bug going around. Thank you!
Next week’s Jolly Phonics letter sounds are
“d” and “g”
The short songs can be found on the internet.
2-a-day stories.
Caterpillar group will be joining in with sound cards and:
This Little Piggy Illustrated by Annie Kubler
Each Peach Pear Plum Illustrated by Janet & Allan Ahlberg
Butterfly group will be joining in with Jolly phonics rhymes and…
The Very Lazy Ladybird by Isobel Finn & Jack Tickle
One Gorilla by Atsuko Morozumi
Remember… to put a change of clothes in your child’s bag in case of accidents! Could you also remember a bag to put the nappy/wet clothes in. Thank you!
While we can, we aim to start the morning off outside if possible and spend much of the session outdoors, your child may need a light rain jacket or coat as the weather can be changeable at this time of year.
